Every elk season, the team from Elk101 is blessed with an opportunity to hunt elk with a young hunter who has been battling a life-threatening illness. This season, they get the opportunity to spend a week in elk country with Samuel, a 14-year old young man from Pennsylvania who has been fighting Leukemia.
Accompanying Samuel on the hunt are his father, Ryan, and his older brother, also Ryan (Ry). Ry was the bone marrow donor who gave Samuel another shot at life, and the bond they share goes deeper than “just brothers”.
These hunts provide more than just a chance to shoot an elk – they provide the opportunity to evaluate our lives, and remember the incredible blessings we have been given every day. Folks, meet Samuel…
