Randy is back moose hunting after having to take over a week off to work back in Bozeman. He had planned on having ample time to spend moose hunting the rest of the season, but received some bad news regarding the health of his mom.
Now he has less time than planned to try and harvest a bull in a unit that has low densities of moose. While he'd love to shoot a great big moose, but with time winding down due to the unforeseen circumstance, he isn't going to be picky when it comes to a legal moose.
Trying to stay optimistic, Randy continues to hunt hard and visits his go-to glassing spots. He does locate a couple moose, but both are cows. The moose rut should be in full swing, so Randy is convinced there should be a bull nearby or coming soon.
