It's rifle season, and Randy is back.
Months after his archery hunt, Randy returns to the unit with one goal: find the bull he shot at during archery season and finally figure out what happened.
There are bulls everywhere, but finding the one Randy is looking for proves to be much harder than expected. The search continues across the same country where the archery hunt unfolded, but the bull remains missing.
As Randy reflects on the hunt, the unanswered questions surrounding the bull, and his future as an archery elk hunter, he comes to terms with one of the hardest parts of hunting: sometimes you don't get the ending you're looking for.
